At the height of the pandemic, Abran and the team at Create Labs dove headfirst into the world of GPT-3, NLP and large language models to explore its social impact use cases and possibility of creating greater diversity equity and inclusion with artificial intelligence. What they created soon became a cultural phenomenon. Insert C.L.Ai.R.A., arguably the most intelligent autonomous AI virtual human who also happens to be a curly-haired woman of color that has caught the attention of Black Enterprise Magazine, Afrotech, Ebony Magazine and Complex among others. In this session, her creator Abran Maldonado will discuss her development, supporting the OpenAI community as their Dev Ambassador, as well as the future possibilities of designing for equity using NLP.
