Leadership Forum: Using Strategic Foresight to Envision Future Health Experiences

"Social change will be viewed as a push-pull process in which a Society is at once pulled forward by its own magnetic images of an idealized future and pushed from behind by its realized past."  - Frederik Polak, author of the classic work, The Image of the Future.

In a healthcare system that is wrought with complexity, there is no shortage of obstacles to overcome. But we have a real opportunity to create change, improve lives, and create a future wherein we can all thrive.

In this session, leaders from across the healthcare ecosystem will be asked to create experiential (visions )of the future based on a series of activities. First, we will ground ourselves in a current situation and create alternative futures by challenging ourselves to think outside of the box when considering "if this happens, then what could happen next." Then we will build experiential futures that tell us "stories from the future."

By envisioning the future, we can better comprehend the impact of the work we do each day and consider the potential implications, consequences, and opportunities that we have each day.
