Researchers and designers fully realize the range of severe and complex traumas that emerge in design practice and throughout all aspects of our lives. This talk will highlight the need for trauma-responsive shifts in design research and practice. Rachael will share examples of how others are pushing practice, as well as an emerging trauma-responsive design framework to help us see how moving through this critical work is not just necessary but possible.
